The hard disk on my 5 year old Dell desktop computer crashed without warning. From that point I could not re-boot the computer despite many attempts to use the computer's diagnostics and repair programs. The owner and his colleague came on time and spent 2.5 hrs with me, first to try to get the system operating, then replacing the hard drive, and re-loading the OS and my programs, while also trying to obtain data off the old hard drive once it was out of my computer. Both of them listened, worked professionally, systematically, and methodically. They answered all my questions and treated me with respect. They solved my computer issues and I was up and running once they completed their tasks. The owner called back several days later to ensure all worked well.

The technician arrived at our home on time and immediately started the evaluation process on the desktop and laptop giving us problems. He immediately diagnosed the problem as stemming from virus on both machines and conflicting software. I must say he was extremely patient and friendly.
At our request, the technician completely uninstalled the computer's operating system and reinstalled the operating system and virus protection. The technician provided great solutions advice and realistic information concerning the capabilities of our machines and their operating systems. This gives us great information to move forward with these machines as they are used for management of our home, and the occassional work at home project.
The technician was extremely knowledgeable and provided us with excellent advice to move forward. We feel this is important to follow as we'd like to avoid problems in the future. For the type of services performed and the convenience of having this performed in our home, my husband and I feel the price is very reasonable. My laptop was having problems with start-up, the OS not being found at times, and also shutting down unexpectedly. They began by completing a small survey on my concerns and use patterns, then did a "hands-on" check. It was determined that it would be best to back-up my files and then re-install the OS. This was done carefully, and all my additional programs and files(Skype, Slingbox, and pictures were carefully re-installed and checked.
The rationale was explained to me and throughout the appointment, they offered advice and information. Once the re-install was completed, the owner took care to re-install my Slingbox, even calling their customer service on my behalf, and testing it to assure it would work properly. All work was done as efficiently as the computer would allow, and very professionally. He was very generous with his time, which I really appreciated.

This appointment involved a computer cleanup and troubleshoot. Also, a printer and some software was installed. Computer was running slowly and had several issues. These were cleared up with this appointment. I was having all sorts of problems with computer and not sure whether or not to replace it. I called Fast-teks to evaluate it and as the appointment progressed Fast-teks was able to correct all of the problems and improve the operation of the computer. As a final result, I didn't have to replace the computer.

The owner of Fast-teks was very professional. He showed up on time, and I didn't realize until he showed up that my wife had taken the infected laptop to work. He was understanding and did not mind waiting a good half hour for my wife to get home. Once he had access to the laptop, he went ahead and backed up all our photos and important files, and then he removed the Trojan Virus with no damage to the laptop. After the virus was removed he scanned the hard drive to make sure nothing else was on there. I would not hesitate to call Fast teks and would highly recommend them.
